Au Revoir, Diane

dianeAkoya recently bid farewell to senior project manager Diane Allard, who retired after an accomplished career in strategic marketing and communications. During her nine years at Akoya, Diane spent the bulk of her time working with the Department of Energy’s Solid-State Lighting program, providing comprehensive communications support, conference and event planning, media relations, and so much more. And while it’s true that we’ll miss her outstanding work for Akoya, we’ll also miss our friend, who gamely dresses up at Halloween; who shares funny stories of her dog, Chase; who makes sure that the solid-state lighting workshop team has enough chocolate; and who approaches new challenges with alacrity, aplomb, and kindness. Akoya’s loss is her family’s gain, and we wish her well on the many adventures that go along with sending a daughter off to college, learning a second foreign language, singing in her rock band, and keeping up with the latest LED lighting technology. (Because old habits die hard, right, Diane?)
