Requirements:
- Five
or more years of sales and marketing experience for communications-related
business (advertising or public relations).
- Strong
knowledge of corporate and business-to-business communications
marketplace in the western Pennsylvania and Ohio region,
with established network of contacts.
Responsibilities:
- Sell
communications and consulting projects to private-sector
clients, with a focus on the western Pennsylvania/Ohio region,
and with a focus on manufacturing, high-technology, energy,
health care, and transportation sectors, plus selected not-for-profits.

Develop and cultivate senior-level prospects generated
through networking and cold calls, as well as via leads
from Brandegee staff.
- Research
new market opportunities for Rack-Wildner and Reese,
Inc. (i.e. Associations, educational CD-ROM)
- Open
and close sales independently, offering on-the-spot
client counsel and problem-framing that positions Brandegee
to provide the maximum value to the client. · Fully
brief the project manager and team, and hand off the
management of the project or program.
- Continue
to cultivate the client relationship through participation
in lessons learned and client stewardship process.
- Lead
weekly marketing meetings with principals and senior staff
to identify new prospects and upselling opportunities, to
plan and schedule joint sales calls where appropriate, to
identify any sales support required, and to assign specific
tasks and responsibilities for that week.
- Develop
annual marketing and positioning plan for Brandegee. The
planning process will involve principals and senior professionals
in defining the firm's competitive performance, value, and
differentiation, and will lay out specific marketing and
sales objectives, strategies, actions, and responsibilities
for the year.
This
position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Compensation
package is expected to include a mix of base salary and incentives.
